For clients who are confident mountain walkers and keen to lead their own group why not try our “best of the tour of Mont Blanc” self-guided walking holiday? The famous Tour du Mont Blanc is a 106 mile (170km) circuit of the Alpine Mont Blanc massif, passing through France, Italy and Switzerland and usually takes around 10 days.

Our ‘Best of the Tour Du Mont Blanc’ offers you the highlights and most dramatic and iconic sections of the tour of Mont Blanc in just 6 days (7 nights) walking, combining the famous hiking trail with uplifts and transfers. Daily distances and ascent and descent also tend to be a little less than the classic full tour. Every evening you stay in comfortable hotels and your luggage is transferred between overnight stops, which means that you only need to carry your daypack. Traverse the Gran Paradiso, Italy – Self-Guided – 9 nights

Tour of the Vanoise National Park, France – Self-Guided – 8 days, 7 nights

Our Tour of the Vanoise is hut-to-hut hiking at its most authentic, in a largely forgotten jewel of the Alps. Beginning in Pralognan-la-Vanoise, this 8-day hiking holiday takes you on a circular route through the heart of the Vanoise National Park, a wonderfully remote and expansive area encompassing 51 miles (82 km) of pristine peaks and glaciers.

Situated just south of the Chamonix-Mont Blanc area, in the Rhône-Alpes region, this was France’s first national park, established in 1963 largely to protect its dwindling ibex. Today it’s home to a thriving array of alpine wildlife and preserves the essence of French alpine culture.
