The Mount Toubkal trek is a rewarding yet challenging trek, proper preparation is essential to make the most of your adventure.
The High Atlas Mountains offers some of the most stunning landscapes and warmest of welcomes in the world. Generally the trails are rocky and arid with beautiful pockets of lush vegetation in the valley bottoms. Familiarising yourself with the day-to-day trekking details will help you know what to expect.
What Makes This Trek Demanding?
The most physically demanding part of the Mount Toubkal trek is the ascent to its 4,167 meter summit. We begin early in the morning and take our time to reach the top at a steady, manageable pace. The effort is well worth it, once at the summit, we’re rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views stretching as far as Marrakesh to the north, Essaouira and the Atlantic coast to the west, and the vast Sahara Desert to the south.
